Anthropic: Claude optimized 30+ biomolecular models for ~4x speedups in 4 weeks
eyishazyer · x · 2026-09-19
Anthropic's blog details how an internal general research model optimized 30+ open-source biomolecular models in under four weeks, shipping 36 drop-in kits with 4x average speedups and minimal precision loss under Apache-2.0. A low-memory mode enables >10,000-token biomolecular systems on a single NVIDIA GPU node. Anthropic also launched a protein design competition with Adaptyv Bio backed by up to $1M in Claude credits and wet-lab validation for 5,000+ designs, closing September 24.
