Brockman: OpenAI pulled 25% of production engineers to run Astra until it exhausted all P0 vulnerabilities

Quoted by a16z, Greg Brockman says OpenAI pulled 25% of its production engineers off projects to defend its systems with Astra, finding and fixing a number of serious issues until the scan saturated — all P0s the model could find, with new rounds planned per model generation.

Quoter xlr8harder adds an unresolved counterpoint: the software supply chain is so interconnected that individual effort won't suffice — security is near all-or-nothing and needs a national, global effort.
