Claude Code 2.1.277 Adds AGENTS.md Support, Auto-Detected When CLAUDE.md Is Missing

Anthropic's Claude Code now supports AGENTS.md: starting in version 2.1.277, when no CLAUDE.md exists in a folder, Claude will check for and use AGENTS.md, with the behavior toggleable via /config. Teams can maintain a single open-standard AGENTS.md shared across multiple coding agent tools alongside Claude-specific config.
