Anthropic finally adds AGENTS.md support to Claude Code

Anthropic is adding support for AGENTS.md — the cross-tool standard for describing project conventions to coding agents — in Claude Code.
The author also calls on Anthropic to make Claude Code automatically look for skills in the .agents directory, which would further unify multi-agent project configuration.
