Claude Code 2.1.277 adds AGENTS.md support as fallback when CLAUDE.md is missing

Claude Code now supports AGENTS.md: starting with version 2.1.277, if no CLAUDE.md exists in a folder, Claude will check for and use AGENTS.md instead. The behavior can be toggled in /config. This adopts the community's cross-tool agent config standard, and discussion continues about how skills in the .agents folder interact with it.
