Epoch AI announced that another problem from FrontierMath's Open Problems has been solved: the solution was elicited by Becker, Greger, and Dominik Peters in an interactive session with GPT-6 Astra. Notably, Peters originally suggested the problem for the benchmark and said he had assumed full solution would require much more theory-building, having worked on it himself for quite some time.
