Neuralink VOICE trial: patient speaks again in his own voice via brain implant

flyme2mars · x · 2026-09-19

Neuralink shared progress from its VOICE trial: participant Terry is using his implant to help fine-tune a brain-to-voice interface. He first trained the algorithm by miming speech as best he could, then by simply thinking the words, which come out in his own natural voice. The voice is powered by Grok Voice from @SpaceXAI, aimed at Terry himself and others who can't speak.
