Devs say new Jev model is fast and exponentially cheaper for bulk tagging tasks

Developer ivanbezdomny shares that using LLMs to tag thousands of tweets or hundreds of articles has always been awkward — inefficient with big models, forcing a switch to smaller, dumber models for latency and cost.
He finds the new Jev model not the smartest but remarkably fast. @droovg adds it's the first model since grok 4.1 fast he believes is both smart and scalable for these batch-processing workloads, while being exponentially cheaper — worth evaluating for large-scale lightweight NLP tasks.
