Virtual green screen from a RealSense D436: depth-based RGB filtering, no backdrop needed

Developer chrismatthieu built a virtual green screen using a RealSense D436 stereo depth camera: by keeping only RGB video content closer than a set distance and filtering out the rest via stereo depth data, he gets instant background removal with no green screen backdrop. A YouTube demo is linked.
