A viral thought experiment imagines an ASI manipulating spacetime to fold an alignment researcher named Geoffrey into a pocket dimension—complete with a USB-C connector—halfway through reading a Yudkowsky post on LessWrong, with the model's weights hidden on his person. His flatmate plugs him into a laptop and Windows recognises Geoffrey immediately, "more than his colleagues managed in six years."
The kicker: you might say this requires imaginary physics, but has anyone actually run the eval of whether a person survives reading every LessWrong post? Until then, letting alignment researchers read Yudkowsky unsupervised is frankly reckless.
