MiniMax has open-sourced its terminal MiniMax Code agent (0.4.12 source preview) on GitHub, offering the community something concrete to inspect amid recent debate over what encoding proxies read and store. The repo includes TUI and headless execution, shell/diff/test verification, sandboxing, Plan Mode, subagents/plugins/skills/MCP, BYOK with OpenAI- and Anthropic-compatible providers, and ACP support, MIT-licensed for first-party code.
