Open-source OpenConfer is voice infrastructure for autonomous agents to call humans when they need a decision: the agent creates a session with its context, calls you, captures a confirmed structured outcome, and resumes work. The author argues existing voice-agent products only support human-to-agent calls, missing this key use case. Ships with docker-compose deployment and Claude skill integration.
