Creative studio Basura teamed up with producer Alan Wilkis (the Big Data project) on Bezzy, a satirical plushie shaped like a server rack with googly eyes that plays piercing, real recordings from a US data center when squeezed.
The Adopt a Data Center stunt is a playful response to growing backlash against AI data centers — energy consumption, gas power expansion, and noise pollution complaints. It launches alongside a new Big Data single, aiming to make people rethink how data center-powered services fit into their lives.
