Economist Paul Novosad proposes auditing university courses for AI-cheatability: collect syllabi and assignments, review submissions, and measure what share of classes — by field and school — let students phone it in entirely with AI, a figure currently unknown. He argues colleges should mandate such audits: some faculty simply don't know their classes are compromised, while those who don't care deserve public scrutiny.
