Numinous announced Numinous-1, its first forecasting model: an 8B model fine-tuned from Qwen3-8B, to be released in coming days. It was trained on the best reasoning trajectories from miners — never seeing prices, only optimal belief updates. With an optimized harness it beats all miners in the crowd over a 9-day backtest; with a generic harness it ranks 5th-7th.
