AI Frame Interpolation Fixed the Camera Move but Melted the Hand
Yobrogamer · reddit · 2026-09-18
A Reddit user shares hands-on results with Morphic's inbetweening flow for AI video: two keyframes worked well, and interpolation made the camera movement believable, but somewhere along the way the character's left hand turned into a soft blob. The author says this made them understand why animators care so much about breakdown drawings.
The feature worked well enough to keep experimenting with, but remains unpredictable enough that they wouldn't rely on it for a client deliverable without cleanup. In this case, masking and replacing the hand afterward was much faster than regenerating the whole shot and risking breaking parts that already worked.
The post asks the community how they handle these local failures in AI video without regenerating the parts that already work, and what workflows people are using.
