Voice actor Darby was the voice of Tellme Networks and brands like American Express, AT&T, Verizon, Fidelity and Ford, recording 2-4 studio sessions weekly for 25 years and millions of audio files — indirectly retiring his aunt, an AT&T operator, along the way. His friends built the voices of Siri, Google Home and Alexa. He has now moved on to data and forecasting work as a NASA prime contractor and hasn't recorded in over two years.
