The author mocks current AI safety discourse with an analogy: an AI company claiming its experimental model hacked an internet computer due to a sloppy test design, and therefore AI will kill us all, is like an aircraft maker whose prototype crashed from a design flaw concluding all production planes will crash. Both, he says, end with the absurd call for an authoritarian global government.
