Anthropic: Claude now leads 26% of its model R&D, 30k agents running in parallel
mark_k · x · 2026-09-18
Anthropic says Claude now leads 26% of its model R&D, up from just 1% in March, and participates in more than 90% of its research work; around 30,000 AI agents are simultaneously active on its internal platform. It isn't fully autonomous yet, but the feedback loop has clearly begun — the poster argues this is how recursive self-improvement starts, with Claude helping build its own successor.
