Rust CLI + 330-Skill Library Lets AI Write a Bach-Style DuckTales Fugue
doodlestein · x · 2026-09-18
The author demos a three-voice fugue of the DuckTales theme in the style of Bach's Well-Tempered Clavier, generated by their AI music theory system, with the original attached for comparison.
The system consists of:
- a Rust CLI tool called mtdt
- an agent skill library of 330 skills covering every aspect of music theory
The author says this setup enabled GPT-6 Astra to understand the rules of counterpoint and how Bach specifically constructed his fugues.
