Anthropic Opens Mythos to Vetted Scientists via Life Sciences Verification Program Beta

Anthropic has launched the beta of its Life Sciences Verification Program (LSVP), giving certified scientists access to the previously restricted Mythos model for biology questions Claude once refused. Two tiers: standard access for whole teams (annual renewal, Mythos5.1/Opus5/Sonnet5) and high-risk access that removes all life-safety blocks, granted per research project with six-month renewals. Safety shifts from real-time interception to offline monitoring, declared-purpose binding, 30-day quarantined traffic logs, and admin escalation instead of instant bans. Available now via API console, Enterprise and Team plans; Pro/Max and third-party platforms not yet supported.
