Well-known Hugging Face developer multimodalart shares a hunch: Jevons-paradox-style behavior will be incorporated natively into future LLMs, much like MTP-like acceleration now ships by default in new models. He suggests any lab training a new LLM should race to be the first to release such a hybrid LLM.
