Hand-written paper with 3 copied AI sentences — Pangram flagged exactly those three
johnowhitaker · x · 2026-09-18
Researcher johnowhitaker ran a neat experiment: he wrote a paper by hand, deliberately copying in just three AI-generated sentences around an equation. The AI detector Pangram highlighted exactly those three sentences, with no false positives.
He praised this sentence-level granularity as 'such a public good', giving props to Pangram founder maxspero. A compelling real-world test of AI detection accuracy.
