RLE-Bench shows robots can grow their own bodies — but coding agents lack physical reasoning

The RLE-Bench team addressed manufacturability concerns: design tasks use aluminum profiles or 3D printing, requiring no specialized manufacturing, with an assembly video shown.
The bigger gap is physical reasoning: current coding agents remain weak on stability and dynamics. Recent RoboDojo results by @MarioChan2002 also highlighted a lack of "physical commonsense," and RLE-Bench shows the problem goes well beyond control.
