Claude Code docs detail Projects: threads run in the cloud and keep going when you're offline
ClaudeDevs · x · 2026-09-18
Claude Code's documentation elaborates on Projects: each thread is a Claude Code cloud session that keeps running even when your machine is offline, with local-workflow support coming soon.
- Public beta on Pro/Max plans, rolling out gradually; Team/Enterprise not yet supported. If Projects isn't visible at claude.ai/code or in the desktop app's Code tab, the rollout hasn't reached you.
- Versus juggling sessions manually: one entry point for work, context set once, and every new thread inherits the repository, instructions, and memory; Claude routes new tasks to the right thread or answers quick questions in place.
