Anthropic rolls out Claude Code Projects: one conversation coordinating parallel cloud sessions
ClaudeDevs · x · 2026-09-18
Anthropic launched Projects in Claude Code on desktop and web (public beta). A project is now one ongoing conversation: you describe what needs doing, and Claude spins up a thread per task, running them as parallel cloud sessions that pass context between each other and keep working after you close your laptop.
- First rollout targets Pro/Max users who already run cloud sessions and haven't used Claude Projects; existing users get it slightly later for a clean migration, with a waitlist for early access.
- Anthropic frames it as an upgrade for projects in chat and Cowork.
