Why you should build your custom agent harness with MCP tools

The author shares lessons from building his own meta harness: using MCP tools to let agents communicate with each other, and leveraging MCP to hand off context seamlessly between agents—which he says is exactly what MCP was built for. His advice: if you're building a custom agent harness, use MCP tools, since frontier LLMs know MCP extremely well, making testing and integrating tools much easier. He calls it one of the best decisions he's made.
