Stanford HAI's Fall Seminar Series Returns With 7 Sessions on AI in Work, Health, and Finance

StanfordHAI · x · 2026-09-18

Stanford HAI's Fall Seminar Series is back, bringing together economists, engineers, clinicians, and policymakers to examine where AI actually lands: workplaces, hospitals, financial systems, and public life. All seven sessions are free and open to the public, in person and virtually.

Confirmed sessions include: a September 23 Industry Conversation with Instacart, where an Instacart economist and a Stanford organizational scholar discuss evidence on how AI reshapes authority, evaluation, and surveillance at work; a September 30 seminar on governing AI beyond language in the world model and spatial intelligence era; and an October 7 session on AI financial advice—what happens when everyone asks the same model for advice while living very different lives.
