On Sept 17 at 8:30 am, Rep. Jayapal and the Monopoly Busters Caucus will hold a shadow hearing on Big Tech's race to lock in surveillance AI and monopolize the industry, livestreamed.
Quoted in the post, scholar Amba Kak argues: "today's highly concentrated and reckless AI industry did not just appear out of thin air with ChatGPT. It grew out of a decade of unregulated commercial surveillance and a permissive competition machine."
