Hacker Claims to Be Selling Mistral AI's Entire Source Code, 339 Files Listed

tekbog · x · 2026-09-17

A hacker posted on a cybercrime forum claiming to sell Mistral AI's full codebase. FrenchBreaches examined the shared file tree: 339 files, mostly archives of internal projects and repos, including clearly non-public ones like mistral-inference-private.

A sample also revealed Webstral, a web agent prototype that browses and reads pages and interacts with sites using Mistral's models. The hacker claims this is Mistral's second compromise after a May incident, though this is not independently confirmed yet.
