According to TechCrunch, Huawei plans to accelerate the launch of its next-generation Ascend 960DT AI chip to Q1 2027 as it pushes to compete with Nvidia and close China's AI computing gap with the U.S.
The move is the latest signal of Huawei ramping up its compute supply chain amid export controls and China's push to iterate domestic AI chips faster.
