MiniMax H3 video gen on dual 7900XTX takes 5.5min per 5s clip; user crowdsources Nvidia GPU numbers
HopefulConfidence0 · reddit · 2026-09-17
A Redditor benchmarked the ComfyUI built-in MiniMax H3 text-to-video template on a dual AMD 7900XTX + 32GB DDR5 rig and published his numbers:
- 5s video at 0.4 MP: 5 min 27s (11.66s/it, 20 iterations)
- 5s video at 1.0 MP: 15 min 52s (45.77s/it, 20 iterations)
Impressed by H3's quality but bottlenecked by AMD, he's considering building a dedicated video-generation rig around a 3090/4090 or 5070Ti, and is asking the community for matching generation times on Nvidia GPUs (same template, no LoRA, 20 iterations) to figure out which card offers the best bang for buck. Workflow and model screenshots are included in the post.
