AI researcher Delip Rao raises a rarely discussed conflict of interest: people in AI oversight arrangements may hold vested stock in the very labs they oversee.
He argues money is only one incentive — access to models, token/compute allocations, shared ideologies and other non-financial perks can be equally compromising, yet almost no one talks about them.
