King Charles Warns AI Poses Existential Threat, Calls for Control 'Before It Is All Too Late'

Per Bloomberg reporter Alex Wickham, King Charles III publicly warned that AI poses an existential and catastrophic threat and that AI leaders must ensure "the human race is left in place."
He posed two questions: how to harness AI's benefits with safety at its heart, and how to build international cooperation so no nation is left behind — "but the human race is left in place." He added, "This may sound hyperbolic. I have long thought it is just enlightened realism," and called for sufficient means of control "before it is all too late."
