Economist John Horton proposes turning the tables on human slop cannons: journals and conferences flooded with submissions authors don't understand could give them an AI voice oral interview on the paper's contents to check comprehension. The idea, credited to Arpit Tandon, uses AI to filter AI-era slop at near-zero cost. Horton says he's writing a blog post on it.
