The Children's Hospital of Philadelphia built a system on open-source medical imaging software MONAI that turns children's CT, MRI, and ultrasound scans into 3D heart models — cutting a four-hour task to seconds. For one child after two failed repair attempts, the model located the defect surgeons couldn't find, and the repair worked on the first try.
