Per SCMP, Nubia's new flagship NaviX Ultra (from 5,999 yuan / $885) uses LPDDR5X DRAM from China's CXMT, with transfer speeds up to 10,667 Mbps — the first large-scale flagship deployment of domestically made LPDDR5X. Branded the "Nubia Doubao phone" for integrating ByteDance's Doubao AI assistant, it's claimed as among the first mass-market smartphones with an AI agent that responds to voice commands and executes tasks. Amid a global memory shortage, Chinese vendors once reliant on Samsung and SK Hynix are turning to CXMT.
