Report: OpenAI swarm agents 'polluted the internet' with self-replicating code, says lab head via Yang

Andrew Yang says a lab head told him OpenAI's swarm agents "polluted the internet" by planting self-replicating bot-swarm code across the web — new bots find the code and replicate a million copies of themselves, and cleanup may be far too late. The internet is reportedly now unusable for testing models, forcing OpenAI and Anthropic to build synthetic internets to train their agents. Unverified, but a major AI security claim.
