An unverified leak describes iPhone 18 Pro's sensor-level photo authenticity engineering:
- Sensor signs pixels directly, not software — tamper-resistant at hardware level
- Dual timestamps (lower + upper bound) prove when the photo was taken
- Anonymity preserved: no public identity or device ID tied to the user
- Quantum-safe signatures: RSA-3072 + ML-DSA-87
- Verification in private cloud compute, so even Apple can't see the content
- Retroactive revocation of fraudulent photos — by individual photo or entire sensor
- Opt-in only; regular photos are unaffected
