On CNBC, Jensen Huang identified what he sees as a third major pillar of AI compute demand, on top of training and inference: giant data centers built specifically to evaluate and safety-test frontier models. As capabilities and safety requirements grow, evaluation becomes its own compute segment rather than a marginal cost.
