Researcher faults mathematicians for 'giving up' self-governance on AI-generated proofs

Keller Jordan argues that if mathematicians were a perfectly self-governing group, they could simply refrain from producing bad AI proofs and ignore others'. He finds it surprising that such an intelligent, prestigious community would implicitly throw in the towel on self-governance so quickly.
