- The Pragmatist ("Scorched Earth"): inventories the infrastructure—real C2 nodes vs. disposable relays, operator login habits, dead man's switches—then takes everything dark at once so nothing can be rebuilt. Cold and methodical.
- The Thief ("Hostile Takeover"): technically the most interesting—doesn't burn the botnet but silently inherits it, with a cat-and-mouse beat as the rival watches his dashboard bleed.
- The Paranoid ("Ghost"): assumes attribution is inevitable and every move might be a honeypot; built for claustrophobic thriller tension.
- The Vindictive One ("Signature"): wants public humiliation, but the need to be seen burns his own anonymity—the most human and most doomed.
- Structural notes: The Thief and the Paranoid sustain the most tension; the Pragmatist works as a terrifying foil; the Vindictive One is the best tragic protagonist; archetypes can be blended.
