Dev Recreates Viral Riso Animation With Opus 5: 27 Scenes in One Self-Contained HTML File
powerCycl3 · reddit · 2026-09-17
After Kevin Ngo's risograph animation made with Opus 5 went viral, an indie developer had Opus 5 create the same style for his fitness progress-photo app in Claude Code: a single self-contained HTML file with no images, fonts, or libraries — 27 illustrated scenes (seed to plant, egg to chick, baby to adult, a house going up, a rocket launch), with music synthesized in the same file and synced to every cut, ending on the app's logo and looping seamlessly.
His input was mostly short notes like "more detail" and "make it loop". He also introduces his iPhone app Progress: a Photos-app-style swipeable gallery for progress photos with dates, weight tags, before/after comparison, and reel export.
