Agility Digit V5's 9-minute charge sparks speculation it uses LFP batteries

Agility has unveiled Digit 5, its next-gen humanoid designed for cooperatively safe work near people without physical safety barriers. @GoingBallistic5 then speculated that V5 may use LFP (lithium iron phosphate) batteries:
- V5's unusual 10:1 run-to-charge ratio—90 minutes of runtime, 9 minutes to recharge—points to a chemistry built for that charge rate, and LFP is one of few.
- LFP cells are heavier but tolerate 0–100% state of charge, support fast charging, and are less prone to thermal runaway and fire—fitting Agility's safety-focused positioning.
- Assuming a 48V architecture and 1kW load, 90 minutes implies a 1.5 kWh pack; recharging in 9 minutes would need 208A, which typically requires liquid cooling—possibly explaining the robot's large backpack.
The battery choice remains speculation; Agility hasn't confirmed it.
