Chris Rackauckas, who leads the Julia SciML ecosystem, revealed his team is paying for multiple subscriptions to Claude, Codex, OpenCode, Devin, and Grok simultaneously to accelerate maintenance of the open-source libraries—and it's still not enough.
A first-hand data point showing that even stacking several coding agents can't fully cover the maintenance load of large open-source scientific computing libraries.
