Shopify has become OpenAI's first commerce partner with the launch of ChatGPT Ads.
- Ads pull directly from merchants' Shopify catalogs; merchants set their own campaigns and budgets, free to install, with conversion tracking inside the Shopify admin
- Merchants can connect or create a ChatGPT ad account from Shopify, auto-sync catalogs, build ads in a few clicks, and run campaigns via Shopify pixel
- The move targets consumers increasingly asking ChatGPT what to buy, letting merchants control how they show up in those conversations
