Sentry CEO plans full-time hire for Junior, a Slack agent that debugs and ships fixes on its own
zeeg · x · 2026-09-17
Sentry's Junior (junior.sentry.dev) is a Slack-connected engineering agent that takes vague asks, digs through Sentry, GitHub, Linear, docs and dashboards, returns receipts, and executes the next step.
Demoed workflows include:
- Incident response: from one message, it pinpointed a commit that broke webhook signature checks, rolled it back, and drafted the update
- Ticket creation: converting a Slack thread into a Linear issue with links and on-call assignment
- Agent browser: opening the real page, checking desktop/mobile, console, and attaching screenshots
Sentry CEO David Cramer (zeeg) says he's considering hiring full-time to work on Junior and similar projects — agents/dev tools/dev infra folks can DM him, though it's opportunistic and only for default-fit candidates.
