CHOP uses open-source MONAI to model children's hearts in seconds for cardiac care

Children's Hospital of Philadelphia uses MONAI, an open-source medical imaging framework co-founded by NVIDIA, to turn existing CT/MRI/3D ultrasound scans into anatomically precise heart models in seconds — helping match devices to each child's unique congenital heart defect. A 4-hour researcher workflow is now fast enough for routine clinical use. Over 20 US children's hospitals run such programs; Boston Children's supports roughly 500 cases/year, and CHOP expects 200 this year, with plans to expand across disciplines.
