Open-source Multi-Agent CAD generates editable CAD assemblies for ~$0.15 per part, 1/13 the cost of CAD Skills

Multi-Agent CAD (MAC), an open-source project (955 GitHub stars), is a decoupled multi-agent pipeline that turns natural-language design briefs into editable engineering geometry. It generates single parts for $0.15 each—about 1/13 the cost of CAD Skills—with faster inference and higher accuracy. Originally a single-part Text-to-CAD workflow, it now supports complex assemblies: decomposing a mechanism into separately generated components, assembling and validating them, and exporting artifacts for downstream inspection and simulation. Built by a lab combining CAD expertise with agent-workflow design for robot learning.
