Apple's Glyph: multi-strategy LLM agents auto-document enterprise data catalogs
Apple ML Research · rss · 2026-09-16
Apple ML Research presents Glyph, a production system that frames two coupled problems — column description generation and column type annotation for data classification — as cooperating LLM agents orchestrated as stateful graphs. The Descriptor agent grounds generation in the pipeline source code that produces each column, retrieved on demand, addressing the documentation debt enterprise data lakes accumulate faster than human stewards can document, with consequences for discovery, access control, and compliance.
